5th week

What a week! It is exhausting and full of challenges. I have finished the presentation on the integration of international students with my group. It was the best presentation even. Although we practised separately, we work perfectly during the presentment. I felt grateful to my groupmate. So, next thing is that I am getting more quizzes and homeworks, I feel tired in every single morning. My daily routine is that eat, then study, then sleep. It is quite boring, but I still cheer myself up because I enjoy the life in the UK. :) :P haha woah it's Friday !!!!! That means I finally get some free time to play basketball! talent wins games, but teamwork wins championships Therefore I can only win games. Poor:(

Is renewable energy a good source of energy?

The advancement in technology has been changing our lives a lot. The invention of new energy (solar, wind, etc) which is cleaner and more effective, has become the major energy source of our lives. Yet, does it mean that fossil fuels are totally useless and out of the reserve list? In my opinion, the fossil will not never replace renewable energy. Firstly, fossil fuels are much cheaper than the renewable energy. On the one hand, renewable energy like wind energy is needed equipment or apparatus in order to generate power, which is quite expensive and not durable. On the other hand, fossil fuels like coal can be used by simply burning after mining. It costs relatively less and economical. In short, fossil fuels outweigh renewable energy in term of economic. Secondly, fossil fuels are easy to reserve and the energy produced can storage for a period of time. By comparing between those two, fossil fuels usually have a fixed size and shape. It is more convenient to keep. What’s mor...

4th week

Things are getting better now. I have already been here for more than one month and I am getting used to it.  Lessons are tough and more quizzes are coming. I can still handle it because I got a schedule for my study and my leisure time. Normally, I will go the gym after the lesson, it is a great chance to improve both my physical health and my language. I just met a massive guy last week. He taught me how to do the gym appropriately and he gave me a fist bump! What a nice guy he is. On the other side of my life here, I will usually go to the supermarket nearby, for instance, Idle, B&M bargaining, etc. All in all, I enjoy the life in here

Unhealthy food? Keep away from me!

Hong Kong is famous for its lifestyle, pace of life. We walk fast, do things quickly and talk in a hurry. What's more, Hong Kong people have an irregular diet, especially junk, fast and unhealthy food. Luckily, Hong Kong government plays a great role in order to encourage people to live healthily. Firstly, the government will hold some events on certain days, we can enjoy the public sports facilities without any payment. Secondly, it usually promotes the importance of healthy life on television during rush hour, for instance, the proportion of the meat, vegetables and rice. Thirdly, for the education, there is a topic about eating in our primary school, which help us to build up a good concept of meal from childhood. On the other hand, restaurants in Hong Kong make some campaign to encourage people to eat healthier. Eating too much rice may harm to us because it contains lots of sugar. Therefore, restaurants will recommend customers eat less and also less oily.

3rd week

Time really flies fast. I have already been here for around a month and so far so good. I have explored some places in Liverpool, they are all great. Last weekend, my friend from Manchester came to visit me. It was so cheerful and excited to see a friend in a city that you are not familiar with. I showed him my home and I cooked for him. We had a nice chat about the study, lifestyle or even food! We also had a Skype chat with another friend who is studying in Southampton. We both three are thrilled to see each other again. Later, we had a walk to St. John and Liverpool one (Albert Dock) and we had a burger meal ( not McDonald or KFC!!). Lastly, I sent him to the Liverpool central station, said farewell and headed home.

Tradition

Hong Kong is one part of China, there is no question about that. Therefore, China has a huge influence on us. This time, I would like to share a festival to you all --'Chinese New Year'. Chinese New Year is an important festival to all Chinese. It is a relatively long festival (holiday? !haha). They will usually visit their own relatives during those days. It is not a big deal when train stations in China packed with plenty of people. In Hong Kong, we do the similar things as people in China do. For me, my parents brought me to my aunt house in my childhood. It is quite funny that we could get red pocket (money) from them! But later on, as I was busy at the study, my parents don't take me again. Still, there are lots of activities we can do during the festival, for example, my family play mahjong ( a gambling game). We usually play it overnight. All in all, it is a great festival that families can have fun and stick together.

2nd week

This week was a busy week, I could not actually breathe at all ( There is getting more and more homeworks and I got cold?!). This week is rich in content, I have learned lots of new vocabularies, idioms and the concept from biology and physics. As I am a fresher to physics, those laws and theories made me feel annoyed. Meanwhile, I am a kind of person who knows how to make fun myself. I have a sense of success when I can catch up with the teacher's schedule. Time flies, I have already studied in the UK for around 2 weeks, and so far so good. Perhaps I can get used to it soon.
